What are the benefits of using Himalayan Pink Salt?

Himalayan Pink Salt is unrefined, unprocessed and is free from pollutants. It contains 84 trace minerals, including iron, magnesium and calcium unlike standard table salt which is stripped of all it's minerals, processed at high temperatures and treated with chemicals. Himalayan Pink Salt is also a fantastic source of iodine which helps to protect against thyroid problems. The crystals will differ in colour, ranging from translucent white to a rosy pink, this is to do with the mineral content of each crystal. The salt crystals are of a coarse size, on average 2-4mm across, this makes them perfect for a salt grinder so you can enjoy this product with food.

How much Himalayan Pink Salt should I use?

Whilst we would not recommend exceeding the recommended daily allowance of 6g total salt intake, the amount of Himalayan Pink Salt you use will come down to personal preference. We would always recommend an adequate intake of water of at least 2.0 - 2.5 litres per day and consulting with a doctor before using the product if you have a cardiovascular condition.

How can you guarantee Himalayan Pink Salt is free from pollutants?

Himalayan Pink Salt was formed from seas millions of years ago, at a time when the atmospheric pollution of today did not exist. Since then the salt has been buried under layers of rock, effectively sealing it off. No machinery is used to extract the salt from the ground, it is all done by hand.

What goes well with Pink Himalayan Salt?

Try grinding our Pink Himalayan Salt over a salad with some Whole Hemp Seeds and Chia Seeds mixed in. This will give it a great taste as well as increasing the mineral content.
